Oh, I absolutely adore that spread of the different scenes. How, if you don't mind me asking, did you get them?

I downloaded the ROM, played it on an emulator and used screenshots when I saw an interesting image.

There's probably a better way of doing this, but that's how I did it.

I know using an emulator is an unorthodox method (though I did buy the game proper, so I think I'm in the clear), but is there any particular one you used? You see, I'm trying to collect the sprites into a usable database (for websites such as Spriters Resource). However, the emulator I use is very, VERY slow, making the process a long one.

I used DeSmuME.

Ah, that's also the one I used. I suppose it's not incredibly important (though I think if someone were to start collecting a sheet of sprites the game would grow in awareness).

Thank you, anyway!

It could be something to do with your computer hardware, but I think your project sounds amazing! If I could ever help in any way (though my knowledge on sprites is very limited), feel free to ask.

Possibly, though I can't think what might be the problem. So, you say that you had no trouble with it being sluggish?

It's probably a very futile effort, seeing as it's nigh impossible just to get past the prologue with the emulator (takes so long D;). And, of course,
I can't even read the Japanese, so myeah.. >m>; Were you able to read what the characters were saying?

Title: Re: Deltora Quest: The Seven Jewels Official Thread

Yeah, I understood what the characters were saying. I'm planning to make an English version of the ROM some time in the near near future.

Strange, because mine plays perfectly.

Maybe it's your ROM?

Oh, really? 8D I've played the game quite a few times, always wondering what each character was saying and how the developers portrayed the characters. All I noticed was that Barda laughed quite a lot, and Prandine/Fallow yelled quite a lot. XP

But that would be fab! Are you working with a group to do that? :o I'd expect that involves some coding.

Could hardrive space have anything to do with it? I only have about 2 gigs.

I don't think ROMs really differ, do they?
Title: Re: Deltora Quest: The Seven Jewels Official Thread
Post by: DQA on January 02, 2013, 03:30:11 AM
Well, funny you mention it. I was discussing working on an English ROM with dats (the group that have subtitled episodes 1 -15 of Deltora Quest). There's been no updates in ages though, which means I might be doing it as a solo-project (just like everything else on this website).

Slowdowns might have something to do with hardrive space, but I doubt it. It's more likely something to do with your hardware, considering emulating DS games takes quite a lot of computer processing power. If you have a good computer set up, then I'm not really sure. Have you tried using different emulators?
Title: Re: Deltora Quest: The Seven Jewels Official Thread
Post by: Cass on January 02, 2013, 03:42:46 AM
That sounds like it would be a very arduous task, and you have to wonder whether it will pay off in the end. There must be some way to advertise this forum/your efforts! D;  Would it be supplied in a patch? (That's how, I believe, the Mother 3 fan translators released the translation)

Well, I use a laptop, if that has anything to do with it. XD I'm quite clueless when it comes to computers/laptops. I do believe I have tried other emulators, but to no avail. That, and DeSmuMe has more advanced functions that make sprite ripping a bit easier.

Yeah, if I ever do get round to it, I'll release it as a batch.

Now, my thoughts on the actual game.

First off, I need to start off by saying the soundtracks are beautifully crafted just like the anime arrangements. They really give you that J-RPG adventure feeling. The same can be said for the aesthetic pixel art too. The whole game is exactly how I imagined it to be. The whole art direction, at some points, is just mind-boggling.

In terms of gameplay, it's a typical RPG. Unfortunately, the leveling and combat system is extremely basic and stripped away. But personally,  I don't think this game needs such a device. It still takes some strategic ability to win your way through the most difficult of battles.

The story is definitely different compared to the anime, manga and book counterparts. In some ways, it's quite a shame. Even though I'm only one third through the game, I've seen so many lost opportunities. For example, they entirely skipped the "Tom's Shop" saga. Instead, Tom's Shop is a location you can visit anytime you want on the main map. This is fine, because it's an RPG, but it meant that the story had to be altered. Instead of the trio buying muddlets (which would've been so much fun to control), Lief, Barda and Jasmine are thrown down a cliff-side by Ichabod. A rather weird addition in my opinion. Another thing I must mention is the dialogue. There are many more comical moments compared to the book. One thing I noticed is how the game is clearly aimed at a young audience. The speech is written in such a way that an average five-year-old Japanese person could read with ease (which makes my job way easier if I ever translate it, aha!).

Sometimes the controls get a bit clunky using the stylus. In many cases, I lost a heart just because I had bumped into an enemy, causing me to stop.

Despite the occasional problem, I've got to say that the stylus was probably the best way of utilizing the controls.

I'll add some more thoughts as I progress through the game.

Ah, it's so great to hear an opinion from another person who is playing the game! 8D I always felt so lonely, because barely any English-speaking communities spoke about it.

I have to agree that the pixel art is just gorgeous, and I actually bought the soundtrack CD off Play Asia. There's a lot of love in each of the songs, but I do think they would have fared better if some songs were used more appropriately or to the game's potential. For example, Thaegan's theme is used also for the Ra-Kacharz, which detached the connections the song had to Thaegan. Also, I find some of the fanfares REALLY jarring, because they're so overly positive that they don't fit with some situations (Jarred jumping onto the horse-drawn carriage to escape Del Castle warranted an uber happy fanfare).

I was very disappointed by the gameplay. I've finished the game, and I swear I'm missing so many things due to the language barrier. The battle system is just TOO simplistic, and I feel the developers should have incorporated all three characters into battle. A much more strategy-oriented system would have suited me down to a tee!

I have to ask, was the Enigmatic Giant's section only represented through text? It's VERY odd, since later in the game (Chapter 7), you fight monsters that look exactly like the anime adaptation's Enigmatic Giant. Why didn't they take the opportunity with all the cool puzzles within the books? It feels very lazy.

I'm not very surprised that the game is aimed at a young audience. It's noticeable in all the other adaptations, too. When you think about it, series like Death Note are ALSO shounen, so it's not surprising that Deltora Quest would be marketed to a considerably younger audience.

I found the characters teleporting from place to place somewhat humorous (you move so fast with the stylus!).

A few little tid bits that I thought were worth mentioning:

I've said quite a lot, but then again, there is quite a lot to speak about! I hope to hear more of your insight in the future. C>

Okay, I've played a little bit more since my last post. I'm now up to the Shifting Sands arc, and there were so many missed opportunities. By now, all the environments are starting to look similar (apart from Rithmere, which looks freakishly close to the anime). It's strange they didn't mix up the level layouts and backgrounds. There's so much diversity throughout Deltora and yet they make the environments the same just with different colour palettes. Not only are the backgrounds starting to repeat, but the music too. That doesn't matter so much to me, only because they sound so good.

Now, as I mentioned before, there were so many missed opportunities. They should've made 'Beat the Bird' into a mini-game instead of a scripted event. It just comes off as really lazy. Same with the Rithmere Games. First off, why is the arena so tiny? And it was really careless explaining what happened during the beginning of the games too. It skips straight to the part where Jasmine defeats Doom. There could've been so many exciting scenes, but instead, just like many aspects of the game, it ends up feeling stripped down and outright apathetic. And then after the games there's a lengthy conversation with Doom (which I regretfully skipped). I found it extremely strange and out of character for Barda to lash out and purposefully hit him with his sword. It all comes back to how the development team skipped Tom's Shop saga. At this point, the trio is asking Doom who he is, but if they had included Tom's Shop in the story, it would've been much easier to make Rithmere better in terms of gameplay and story.

Also, I find some of the fanfares REALLY jarring, because they're so overly positive that they don't fit with some situations (Jarred jumping onto the horse-drawn carriage to escape Del Castle warranted an uber happy fanfare).

Aha, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I was going to mention the same thing. It was a really strange decision.

Nope, there's no mention of the Enigmatic Giant at all. Which is ANOTHER missed opportunity.

I found the characters teleporting from place to place somewhat humorous (you move so fast with the stylus!).

Haha, me too! In some ways, I think it's better, though. It would be painstakingly boring if there was a set speed. I like having the ability to go at your own pace.

At Tom's shop, you can draw the Resistance symbol to reduce the cost of items (I found this a neat little feature).

Wow! That's actually really cool. Pity the same creativity didn't go in to other parts of this game.

Perhaps a personal beef, but some of the sounds are so obviously stock sounds. DX The Ak-Baba at the beginning use that infamous 'dinosaur screech', and Prandine/Fallow use sound effects that I've heard in comedy shows! Sort of jarring. XP

Yeah, I agree. This isn't a stock sound, but am I the only one who found the "Clean Churunai (Noradzeer)" sound really jarring as well? Definitely NOT how I imagine the Ra-Kacharz to speak.

It's scary - I'm finding myself agreeing with every single you've said, and it's a bit of a shame. I mean, I DO like the game, but it could've been so much better.

I feel that the environments can get a bit boring, however I don't think it's uncommon for these sorts of games to reuse graphics. At least more important areas are given original graphics. Is there anything else to do in Rithmere City other than going straight to Mother Brightly's? When I first got to that part of the game, I felt a sense of a relief, only to realise there was nothing to do!

There are only 32 or so musical pieces in the game. Each chapter is given its own theme. I think Chapter 5 has quite a few pieces that aren't used elsewhere in the game. I get the feeling the budget for this game was limited.

I know, right?? XD The arena looked so silly! They could have at least showed the MEAT of that arc - it's like the complete opposite of the manga. That, and Neridah is completely written out of the story. I also don't think Jinx appears. It surprises me they include characters like the Queen Bee lady, but not Neridah!

Oh, yes. The Ra-Kacharz chant is quite puzzling, since it's so high pitched. I think it would've been so much better if it hasn't included voice grunts. They don't really add anything.

Oy, vey. Though it might sound like I'm complaining about every single detail, it just baffles me how much they cut corners. Why cut out characters/plot elements, while adding their OWN characters??

I think you'll find little nuggets to nitpick about in Chapter 5, definitely.

Alright, just finished Dread Mountain.

Well first off... Purple Crocodiles? Giant Yellow Lizards? What is this?!

Purple Kin? Pink Kin? You get to fly a Kin? There's floating bush obstacles too?! You can DIE from floating bushes? So Kin can crash through trees in episode 25 of the anime, but not touch flying bushes. I've got it.

Okay, so, umm... Where's Ailsa, Bruna and Merin in all of this?

Also, why does the Vraal look like something from Jurassic Park? And where did Prin get the Purple Moss from to defeat the Vraal? And where's the Carn Squad? So many unquestioned answers ;_;

Honestly, though, controlling Kin was actually a nice little distraction from the actual game.

This saga starts off with a cutscene with Lief's parents imprisoned by Fallow, but how are we seeing this? At this point, Lief and the others haven't even heard of the Dreaming Spring. Talking about that, the spring is tiny! And what's with the lack of Kin? I mean, I'm glad Prin and Krenn made an appearance, but in the anime, there's quite a big group of them compared to the five that show up in the game. Also, why does the Dread Gnome's lair look like a concrete building? I also find the lack of Gellick's relationship with the gnomes saddening to. They're just like: "Follow me, I'll go show you where Gellick is so you can defeat him even though we just tried to kill you with deadly poisonous arrows!" It's starting to become apparent that there's barley any character development in this game, possibly due to its young target audience. Oh, and I should also mention Gellick looks hilarious.

Right after I finished this section of the game, I went to the cinema, so my thoughts have sort of drifted. But I think this image sums up my thoughts:

(Talking about this image, why isn't there a person in that Kin's pouch?)

Is there anything else to do in Rithmere City other than going straight to Mother Brightly's?

You can talk to the townsfolk, but that would prove useless if you can't read Japanese. Talking about that, how did know what to do half the time?! How did you know to buy the rope from Tom during the Shifting Sand's saga? Or had you already bought it at that point?

I don't really mind the strange wildlife in this game, even if it doesn't make sense. XD I think some of it is actually pretty interesting looking. Also, I thought the Vraal had a faithful design to the original. The anime's Vraal looked to mucky and boring for me.

I was wondering what was going on with the Fallow scene. Couldn't they have just put some sort of breather at the Dreaming Spring? I think that's what this game is lacking. In depth cutscenes. And I'm guessing that means there's no conflict of Lief wondering about his parents? A bit of a shame.

You know, Gellick's official art looks amazing. I mean, beside the fact that a TOAD has a belly button, I absolutely love the character design in this game. Just the style draws me in! That's something I think it has over the anime and manga - no offence, but they look so... bleh. I suppose it depends on the animation team in the anime, but the manga is full of bleh.

I thought the flying stage was silly. I mean, why are there hovering bushes that hurt you?

Is what the townsfolk say interesting? I mean, there are so many unique NPCs, unlike other 2D games that reuse lots of NPCs. I'd already bought most things at Tom's shop by that point. XD I'm sure there are plenty of moments when I needed something but I didn't realise I used it because I'd already bought it.
Title: Re: Deltora Quest: The Seven Jewels Official Thread
Post by: DQA on January 04, 2013, 05:43:02 PM
Yeah, I actually love the enemy design, but it's getting to the point where the same enemies are appearing throughout each chapter but with different colors, which is a shame. I prefer this games Vraal to the anime and manga, but in my opinion, it's too small. And I also completely agree with Gellick's design in this game. I just found it funny how he literally vomits poison all over you, compared to the anime, where he spits tiny amounts.

Yeah, I kind of wished they focused more on the story in this game. It could've been really amazing, I mean, all the amazing art work and music was there. All they needed was a better combat system and character development.

It's funny, because if they worked a little more on the flying stage, it could've been quite good. But instead, it lasts 30 seconds and the sprites are all over the place. Like the story, it just feels a bit incomplete. If they had another year and a bit more money, this game could've been amazing. I still love the game so far, I'm just always wishing for more.

Is what the townsfolk say interesting?

Oh wow, did you just edit those in some graphic editor, or actually in-game? 8o I have to say, though, that they're saying things completely different to what I expected. For example, I thought that guy behind the tree was perving on the dancers. XP It makes more sense than talking to a tree!

Yes, some particular enemies crop up several times over the game, though that's not really uncommon in RPGs. I found most of the bosses to be really lazy in combat design. I mean, it's mostly 'dodge, go in and hit a few times, then quickly get of the way' over and over again. I think Gellick and Reeah were the worst in this respect, while Thaegan was at least more complicated.

I at least assume the 3 main characters were given decent character development? There are quite a few little scenes here and there where they chatter about something. Most usually ending with Barda shrugging and Jasmine laughing.

It's just so strange how this game has so many problems, yet is also sort of enjoyable. Though I think the art on a whole looks spectacular, some of it seems a bit jarring and not up to par with the rest of the game. For example, the incredibly pixelly Ak-Baba at the beginning of the game. I mean, it doesn't look bad from afar, since it's meant to be a silhouette. However, some appear closer, and all they've done is resize the sprite. That, and the Fallow/Thaegan boss sprites look pretty strange when compared to other characters. Mostly the fact that their heads are two pixels in length.

I'm not sure how far you've gotten into the game since your last update, but I do think Chapter 6 was at least a step up in terms story quality. XD Though the pirate saga wasn't looked at, I think it retained most of the major scenes?
Title: Re: Deltora Quest: The Seven Jewels Official Thread
Post by: DQA on January 05, 2013, 04:03:28 AM
Finally got the time to finish Chapter 6.

This was my favourite section of the game so far. In terms of environments, it was much more diverse than previous levels. Despite the lack of pirates, seeing the River Queen steamboat was a very nice addition. It was kind of a pity to see Steven as a mere tradesman rather than an actual character, though. Would've been pretty cool to control Nevets. It was disappointing that the The Glus (which had amazing artwork, by the way) was only seen in a easy running minigame. I found it strange how Thaegan only just showed up now. Not to mention the fact that she's killed without the loss of her magic finger. Still, she's been the most difficult enemy in the game so far. With Steven's introduction came a knew kind of shop. The items in there are, in my opinion, far better than the ones in Tom's Shop. I actually found it surprising how much money I had earned throughout the course of my journey! I had enough to buy the Golden Bracelet which gives you twice the amount of speed when you attack, which I found quite cool. Did you end up buying anything? Because I regretfully didn't read the descriptions for the other items. Also, Dain is finally introduced! I just love how Lief attacks him with his sword and then feels guilty afterwards *chuckle*. Oh, not only that, but Ols show up too. I much prefer their artwork in this game than the anime. In the anime they look like a child's drawing of a ghost :/

Photo editing software (Photoshop). I found out that hacking roms is... extremely hard. I'm sure I could learn, but there's not that much information about it.

Bahahaa! I'm not sure what you mean. I talk to trees all the time xD

Yeah, they were. But not nearly as much as the books, for obvious reasons.

You seem to beat the levels with relative ease. When I last played through, I died I don't know HOW MANY times. I probably wasn't playing correctly, but all battles are long with moves that are hard to dodge. I only barely defeated Thaegan.

I also had problems with the Glus game. I didn't know what you were meant to do, since he kept catching me very quickly. Are you just meant to tap the screen really fast? I think a stealth minigame would've been more appropriate.

I don't think Nevets ever appears visually within the game. Is he mentioned?

I didn't have enough money to buy anything from Steven. He was way too overpriced.

The next chapter is definitely my least favourite, if only because I can only barely defeat the enemies. You're just meant to hack and slash them, right?  The 'poison' status is very grating.

That's probably because I'm still playing on an emulator. I do have an actual copy of the game, I just can't find it. I think it's much harder playing on a DS, considering I died many times when I had my physical copy.

Yep, you're supposed to tap really fast (or in my case, click really fast).

Nope.

Oh, does the emulator make it easier to play? D; I wish my emulator would get its act together and run faster! Then again, I'd think it'd be harder to play the combat sections with a mouse (never had the will to go that far with such slowness).

Well, it does for me. But that's probably because I play PC games a lot. There's probably some settings you can change to make your emulator run faster.

Now, where's that purple of yours gone?

Alright!~ Finally finished Chapter 7. (Sorry, this is going to be a short post. I don't have much time to express my opinions.)

Looks like we're going to disagree here, but this was my favourite section so far! I loved the minigame-type-puzzle elements that were present during the ending boss. Though it was incredibly hard, I still liked the variety. The beginning was rather bland, much like most of the other chapters, but I loved the dialogue in this saga. I'm really starting to see some solid character development now. You can tell Lief is jealous about Dain and Jasmine. Oh and I finally got all my character's sword levels to 10! Yay! Oh and the ending boss was frustratingly hard. I'm honestly not sure if I would've been able to beat it if I played it on a DS. I'm really starting to get into the game now, which is a shame because I'm going to finish it soon ;_:

Umm, I just tap on them really fast... Not sure if this is correct or not, but I don't do any slashing movements.

Oh, my! Well, I am glad you enjoyed this section of the game! A few elements that I felt were lost in The Guardian were a) Solving the puzzles before the candles shorted, b) His four 'pets', and the riddle that surrounded the nature of their names, and c) The Guardian passing himself off as King Endon. Though that last part might've been kept intact, the impact was lost because you were not actively solving the guardian's name (which is, if I remember, the main focus in the original book). Instead, the game took an approach that seemed similar to the Mirror of Fear saga in the anime (the 3 characters facing their fears). At least, it seemed that Lief was facing his fears (his family and friends forgetting him).

Something I can give the game credit for is giving most of the major characters and supporting characters a faceset (portrait when they speak). Unlike some games, which can only afford to give facesets to only the main cast.

In the meantime, I expect lot's of interesting posts from you (just kidding)(well, nevermind, you actually DID post).

All righty. XP

I thought I might as well give my two cents on the final chapter, because I assume by the time you'll see this you will have already beaten it.

It definitely is the lengthiest of chapters. Although I couldn't tell you what they were saying, I could understand most of what was going on through context. I felt that the extended length was much more optimal, as I'd felt the previous chapters were a bit too short (because they cut so much out).

A few things that I noticed that could probably have been handled better:

There was no section that involved the trio accompanying Steven through that field of blood lillies (or some evil flowers, anyway). That would have been really cool if they had implemented some minigame/gameplay element where you could control Steven's carriage, or something. Overall, Nevets seemed to have been forgotten mostly.

I'm not sure if the Dreaming Spring was touched on, but I'm guessing they never kept any of the water? I mean, they didn't use it on Gellick either, so I assume it wasn't mentioned through dialogue. Anyway, DUE TO THAT, there was no scene involving Fallow/The Shadow Lord. Hell, I don't think the Shadow Lord even appeared AT ALL. I can only guess the essence of that scene was shown when Fallow appears in the fields (which seemed really out of place). Still, I think the lack of the Shadow Lord actually appearing didn't mix well with me.

Related to that, was Fallow like the main villain of the game, then? I assume he mentions the Shadow Lord at times, but it almost feels like the developers upgraded his role to more than just a mere lackey. Heck, he's prominently featured on the cover art (or that might be Prandine). The true final boss (which is absolute HELL, I should mention) was Fallow in a transformed state. Or was that meant to a physical incarnation of the Shadow Lord? Or was Fallow actually MEANT to be the Shadow Lord?

The ending scene felt touching, though I couldn't understand it. <3 I'm glad that they added a couple scenes after the big climax battle, as the original novel didn't.
I think, however, it would've been better if they visually expressed the fact that Doom was actually Jarred and Jarred was Endon (through flashbacks, or something).

Overall, I didn't mind the game. Some of it was silly (really happy fanfares in jarring moments/reusing music in unfitting places, random character animations), but I do think it tried. Oh, and if I remember correctly, there were 2/3 bonuses. The old man (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M MEANT TO DO THERE), a side quest involving a mansion and 2 original characters, and an after-ending special dungeon.

I assume that the fact that it's prefaced by 'last chapter' would be enough of an indication that there were spoilers, but no matter. C: Done and done.

Well, I'm back! Aaand you might want to add some spoiler tags in some of your posts. There might be some new people who are unfamiliar with the ending!

Alright, now onto my verdict. This was by far the best chapter in terms of dialogue, gameplay and length. It kinda makes the rest of the game look below-par due to the overwhelming amount of content in this final chapter. Like always, though, there are some issues that require some nitpicking (not nearly as much as other chapters though). Oh wait, nevermind. You already covered everything I was going to say ;_;

Nope, I'm almost 100% sure they never kept any of the water.

It appears so.

Erm, unless I completely missed it (I did skip most of the dialogue), I'm fairly sure that the Shadow Lord was never mentioned.

Oh, that last boss... It was the most frustratingly, hair pulling, nail-biting, confusing, most terrible, horrible thing to ever appear on planet Earth. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but I spent HOURS trying to beat him/it. I didn't really know what to do. I tried attack the hands, but nothing happened. So, I worked out you needed to attack the face... It was the hardest boss in the game (by far!) but also the most satisfying to beat as well. Now, I'm almost certain that it's Fallow in a transformed state, but I could be wrong.

Well, it was represented through text, which would be enough for Japanese people to understand, but yeah, it would've been better if there was some visual spectacle too. (By the way, you probably need to put your comment in a spoiler tag as I mentioned at the beginning of the post).

The old man (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M MEANT TO DO THERE)

I could probably help... except I'm stuck on the ending screen. I'm not entirely sure what to do:

And while we're talking about the ending:

I thought the message for Emily Rodda (or should I call her Jennifer Rowe?) was a very nice addition. One of the only parts of the game where there's a huge amount of English.

And I know this is completely off topic, but you still need to fix that purple on page 2 ;P

Though I'd assume the Shadow Lord was overarching villain of the game though, right? I think you're required to shut off the game once you come to that screen. It's sort of like the first Paper Mario.

Oh, I was talking more about the Endon/Jarred spoiler. But don't worry. I've gone ahead and edited your posts.

Hmm, didn't seem to work. Just starts me off midway through the final chapter...

Yes, that's how it goes I believe. The game doesn't have an 'end mode', I think. I think if you just exit back to the over world, the extra dungeon becomes open.

Oh, and thank you. C:

Oh, so that's how it works. Alright, thanks!!

The old man (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M MEANT TO DO THERE)

Okay, so I finally got round to translating this and basically there's a old man called Jack who owns a farm. He needs help protecting his farm from monsters that had recently been lurking around the area. Apparently if you say yes, he goes around dropping seeds on the soil. But other than that, I'm not entirely sure what you're supposed to do. You can collect "Jack" as a card if you click on the door which leads to Jack's house/cottage. Here:

The only purpose the card serves is for character information and a nifty picture. I just find it strange that there's literally NO monsters. I'm confused. I'll do some more research and let you know if I find anything.

EDIT: This might have something to do with it:

I'm guessing that Jack provides a graph of how many monsters you've defeated. Perhaps once you defeat a certain number of a them, you'll get some sort of reward from him.

Interesting. I wouldn't have guessed that he was connected to the cards, since there are also character cards and all that jazz. On a related note, I absolutely love the piece that plays when you look at the cards. <3 It's so soothing.

Wait, DQA, have you learned hexadecimals?! I didn't know someone had finally started to create a patch for the game. By the way, long time no see. We haven't seen you on the wiki for a long time :/ (this is Luka1184 by the way.)
EDIT: Ah, you used Photoshop. And yes, hex-editing/ROM-hacking is a nightmare.

I'm about to buy this game, cause Fallow-kun on front cover!  I don't have a working Japanese 3/DS though buuuu. Does anyone have any game footage or screenies of any Fallow-kun-related stuffs? I guess I could try to emulate, but URGH.
